The first section was a lot of uphill, we did make a few good stops, first the Descano Trading Post for a few bananas and milk. We met John the owner and heard stories of other Southern Tier riders. Well worth the stop!
If my blogger site is anything to go by, it's running on an old PC they forgot in a closet somewhere and nobody is assigned to maintain it. That would explain its performance most of the time.
